“An Interview with the Earthlings” is an experimental documentary, and my debut short film, that works to unpack human behaviors and connections. As the film begins, the character “Blu” is introduced, as is her understanding of the nature of The Ocean. In lieu of her rare and deep understanding of her, The Ocean calls upon Blu in an effort to become more informed on the inner workings of the human experience. After providing The Ocean with her own viewpoints on the topic, Blu then goes deeper into the world searching for more answers. She ultimately finds them through conversation with her peers. This work was featured at the Afrikana Film Festival in September 2023 and is currently up for view on vimeo.
